He’s the type that doesn’t give much most of the time. Watch their lives and you’ll find him only barely dancing on half, if not most, songs/dances.  Heck, watch their shows and you’ll find him looking sleepy half/most of the time. But on a few occasions, very few occasions like this one, ah. It renders me speechless and I’m not even going to bother opening Encarta to look for appropriate words.

Let’s not even discuss Shizukana Yoru ni solo. Completely different feel from the one above. Same person. I turn stupid watching him. And that’s not even a complain.

So many things to do. And I’m not even employed or enrolled in a school. Geez. Why do I always end up in extreme situations? Either very busy or very free. Ironic, considering how I generally dislike anything excessive.

And why is it that once I’ve got an offer from a family and am about to enter a contract, offers from other places keep coming? So tempting. I keep having to remind myself to not go back on my words, despite the fact that I’m not in a legally binding situation yet. Must not be greedy and must keep own words.

And more outrageous things like, “If you have a pretty and sexy lesbian friend, introduce her to me. It’d be better if she played with me, since I’m confused as to how she’d do it with another girl.”

And educated man, ladies and gentlemen. An educated man.

He insisted on me letting him know if I was a lesbian or not despite my having explained to him (patiently and nicely, no less) that no, I do not consider myself gay because I don’t consider sex or gender when picking a partner. My partner could be a “manly” man, a “womanly” woman, a “manly” woman, a “womanly” man, or a half-and-half for all I care. Yet he kept asking if I were gay. Christ. It’s really rather impressive that I managed to stay patient and friendly throughout the conversation. Mala already had smoked coming out of her ears when I told her about our chat.

He ended every sentence with a laughing emoticon. I suspect he tried his best not to offend me. He also apologized a few times in case he did offend me. It’s baffling, really. On one hand, this guy’s a complete douche. On another hand, he was also apparently concerned about coming off as offensive and intolerant. Trying to maintain the 和, was he?

And then he reminded me that as a Muslim I should be mindful of the religion’s musts and must-nots, that in the end, when we die we’ll return to Him. I could appreciate that, I could. But really, it was between me and God himself.

How could an educated urban man like him be so…ill-informed. It almost defies logic.
